2025 Art Competition

We extend a heartfelt invitation to budding young artists to participate in the 2025 Art Nova International Award. This is more than just a competition; it’s a unique opportunity for young talents to gain recognition and showcase their artistic expressions in a professionally curated public exhibition at the esteemed Hong Kong Arts Centre.

Imagine the artwork displayed in a renowned gallery, where their personal ideas, brought to life through the vibrant language of color, can be admired by a wider audience. This competition offers a platform to celebrate the power of the youth artist imagination and compete for exciting art prizes. Artwork Submission Guidelines

Submission Deadline:
– Each participant should submit only one artwork.
– For international participants, please note that all postage costs are the responsibility of the sender.
– The artwork must be delivered before the submission deadline on 30 August 2025.

Submission Format:
– Artwork Size: 20 x 30 cm to 40 x 50 cm
– Originality: All submitted works must be original creations by the young artist. Any copyright-infringing works will be immediately disqualified, and registration fees will not be refunded.
– Mediums: Accepted mediums include acrylic, oil, watercolor, sketching, pastel, color pencils, Chinese ink, and mixed media on canvas or paper.
– Display-Ready Condition: Artworks must be professionally mounted (if applicable to the medium) and ready to hang or display appropriately. For works on paper, consider mounting on a sturdy backing board.
– Completion Date: Only artworks created between 2024 and 2025 are eligible.
– Quantity: Each participant may submit only one artwork.

Exhibitions and Recognition

All submitted artworks will be proudly showcased at the prestigious Pao Galleries of the Hong Kong Arts Centre during the exhibition period. Every young artist who participates will have their work exhibited in a professionally curated, public art space—offering them a rare and meaningful opportunity to be seen by a broader audience.

This exhibition is not only a celebration of creativity, but also a platform for every participant to gain exposure and confidence. Award-winning artworks will be specially highlighted and acknowledged during the event, including at the VIP Opening Ceremony.

Friends, family, and art lovers are warmly invited to attend and support the next generation of creative minds. For many participants, this event marks a powerful first step in their artistic journey—and a moment to shine.

Quota per Age Group:

6-8 years old – 20 pax
9-11 years old – 20 pax
12-14 years old – 20 pax

The Most Popular Awards offer a special chance for young artists to gain public exposure. All submitted artworks will be posted on our official Facebook page, where the number of “likes” will determine the winners.

This award highlights the importance of community support and online visibility, allowing children to share their creativity with a wider audience. It’s not just about the prize—it’s about the encouragement and recognition that can inspire young artists to keep creating.

Judging Criteria

All artworks will be reviewed by a panel of distinguished artists and educators from diverse artistic backgrounds around the world. The official judging panel will be announced on our website and social media channels in September 2025.
